The Bureau of the FIFA Council has officially appointed Azerbaijan to host the inaugural FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival 2026. The competition will take place from 22 to 31 October 2026, with the first edition open to boys’ U-15 national teams.
The new competition adds another international sports event to Azerbaijan’s calendar. FIFA said its decision followed an assessment of the country’s sporting and general infrastructure and its ability to receive participants in a centralised location. Participating teams, the match schedule, stadiums and other operational details have not yet been officially announced.
