Guba is one of the largest cities in Azerbaijan. It is located 165 km. to the north of Baku. One of the most beautiful cities in the country, Guba is especially good in spring, when it’s numerous gardens and parks blossom.
In Guba and it’ environs there are a few historical monuments. Numerous mosques - the Cathedral mosque (XIX century), the Sakiny-khanum mosque (XVIII century), the Ardabil mosque (XIX century), the famous Cuma mosque were preserved here. Also the House of the Guba Khan, medieval baths and a fortress.
The exposition of the local museum of local lore is rich, in which, besides other objects of material culture, there are skillful Guba carpets.
Guba is a well-known center of carpet weaving. From there they bring souvenirs of local artisans and famous Guba carpets.
